Reds loanee Kieran Trippier has been included in the provisional squad for this summer’s European Under-21 Championship in Denmark.

The Manchester City full-back has spent a full season on loan with Barnsley and impressed with some great attacking displays, often moving into a wide midfield role to utilize his ability more.

Tripps has made 40 appearances for Barnsley this season in all competitions and has scored two cracking free-kicks to earn the Reds a point against Doncaster Rovers and Leeds Utd.

It’s a massive achievement for Tripps and one we should be proud of it. It just might make him a little bit harder to sign again next season!
