Tykes’ Doyle Released On Police Bail

Just two days after making his 42nd appearance for Barnsley in their 1-1 draw at home to Derby County, Reds midfielder Nathan Doyle has been released on police bail pending investigation into an incident in Derby.

Police stopped Doyle with two other men on Osmaston Road in Derby on Monday and searched an Audi, finding what they believe to be Cocaine.

BBC News broke the story earlier this afternoon. You can view the article on the BBC website here.

23-year-old Doyle joined Barnsley from Hull City on a permanent deal in January after a successful loan spell from the Tigers. So far Barnsley Football Club has made no official statement on this news.
