Barnsley have taken Middlesbrough midfielder Cameron Park on loan for three months.

Park, a product of the excellent youth academy at Middlesbrough is a left winger by trade and has proven his worth at the Riverside, earning a four and half year contract which he signed in January.

Keith Hill told the club’s official site: ‘We do need to recruit because of squad depth and I’m really pleased to have got Cameron.’

In recent times Barnsley have issued statements on the subject of club finances and one of the points often made was that they would like to decrease the club’s reliance on expensive loan deals.

Hopefully this deal won’t be too expensive and will be to the club’s benefit and not just the player’s and Middlesbrough’s.
