Barnsley couldn’t build on the weekend win as the Reds were beaten three-two by Peterborough in League 1 on Tuesday.

Peterborough were ahead when Angol broke through at the midway point of the first half, however Barnsley went into the break on level terms when Hourihane converted from the penalty spot.

The lead was restored by Peterborough when debutant Addison, who also conceded the penalty, marked this with a goal just past the hour with Maddison seeing an effort deflected in to leave Posh three-one up.

Winnall gave Barnsley hope when he pulled one back but after a debut goal on Saturday Long saw his second appearance ended early when the loanee saw red!
