Barnsley’s League 1 season continues against Scunthorpe at Glanford Park on Saturday; with this a traditional 3pm kick-off.

The pressure, and Lee Johnson knows this, is growing at Barnsley with the Reds in desperate need of ending a five-match losing run, which isn’t going to be easy tomorrow against a Scunthorpe side that’s coming into form and lost only once in several outings in recent weeks as they’ve turned their campaign around.

Scunthorpe could have Luke Williams (knee) back in the starting XI with Darius Henderson (hamstring) also a possibility to return with Niall Canavan (ankle), Jamie Ness (hamstring) and Andrew Boyce (knee) all expected back within a week or so.

The Iron have extended Joe Lolley’s loan from Huddersfield so he can feature.

Johnson will have Ben Pearson (suspension) back after he was forced to sit out a game after five bookings.

Barnsley’s Head Coach has opted to send Dan Crowley back to parent club Arsenal, with his now officially confirmed, so he’ll not be involved with captain Conor Hourihane (hamstring) still sidelined.

The Reds could see Ryan Williams (groin) make his return after a long-term layoff but Marley Watkins (ankle) and Adam Davies will be forced to sit out again.

The will hope for a positive result, but will this happen?
