Barnsley’s JPT season continued with a draw, with the win secured after a penalty shootout win, against Fleetwood at the Highbury Stadium on Thursday.

A late Fleetwood equaliser took the game into a penalty shootout following the one-one draw with Adam Hammill’s penalty winning the shootout four-two to book a date with Oxford in April but when this comes it looks like Head Coach Lee Johnson will be gone? He is now talking to Bristol City about a job with them….

Following a goalless first half, Conor Hourihane broke the deadlock midway through the second half when he finished off from League 1 Player of the Month Sam Winnall’s pass.

Just when the Wembley suits were being thought about Ashley Hunter sent the game into a penalty shootout when the aggregate scores were levelled up at two-two in the final 10-minutes.

With Fleetwood ‘keeper Chris Maxwell keeping out a Josh Scowen effort but Adam Davies doing the same with Conor McLaughlin’s. After Winnall had scored Davies again saved keeping out one from Amari’i Bell it was down to Hammill who made no mistake to send the Reds to Wembley on 3rd April.

The above video shows the highlights from this game at the Highbury Stadium.
