Speaking late yesterday evening, manager Lee Johnson confirmed that former Manchester City defender Reece Wabara had now agreed a short term contract at Oakwell.

The 23 year old has penned terms which will run until December 31.

Speaking to the Official Site to announce the signing, Johnson explained.

‘I`m really pleased Reece has decided to join us. He is a good player with a fantastic pedigree who will provide support and competition for James Bree.’

Wabara himself said.

‘I can`t wait to get cracking. It`s a great Club and the Head Coach has exciting plans which I`m keen to be a part of.’

Having come through Manchester City’s Academy the player spent numerous loan spells out with Ipswich, Oldham, Blackpool and Doncaster and he made the move to Doncaster permanently following his loan spell with them this time last summer.

In 2014-15 he made 50 appearances with a return of one goal.

His career so far has seen him take in 102 appearances with a return of three goals.
