Barnsley secured a win over Walsall in the League 1 play-off semi-final second leg on Thursday, ensuring a place in the final.

Barnsley were ahead when Adam Hammill beat the offside trap to finish from close range with the tie absolutely killed off midway through the second half when Ashley Fletcher added the second.

Walsall’s Jordan Cook scored the goal of the night as he curled home a fine effort to give the home side something to cheer but Barnsley fittingly had the final say though when Josh Brownhill scored late on making the most of a defensive error to book a Wembley date on 29th May.
