Prospect of the Academy, Eaden broke through and made nearly 300appearances for the club. He played his part in the success of 96 and also the fall in 97 at right back. Eaden was also one of the few survivors of the 2000 Wembley Play Off defeat losing 4-2 to Ipswich Town having took the lead 1-0 thanks to Craig Hignett. Nicky departed Oakwell for Birmingham in the Premiership and stayed there again at Wigan Athletic. Eaden dropped down to Nottingham Forest and then lower again Kettering Town where he ended his playing career. Eaden obtained his coaching badges and went on to manage Kettering and assist at Peterborough in 2009. In 2011 he was back in South Yorkshire to help former team player Liddell at Rotherham Utd but was later went to assist at Tamworth but that lasted only 1 week as he went back to Kettering Town.

aden is currently the assistant manager at Kettering Town.
