Barnsley have rejected a bid from Wigan for young full back John Stones.

Reds boss David Flitcroft slapped a £3 million price tag on Stones last week and it is understood Wigan`s bid falls well short of this valuation.

It is good to see Barnsley stand their ground with this one as in the past he would have been sold with any offer over £1 million.

Expect a busy transfer deadline day at Oakwell with more bids set to come in for Stones and possibly another striker through the door.
