Wigan Move for Stones

Wigan are set to make a bid for Barnsley youngster John Stones during the transfer.

Knowing the club as I do they will probably sell him for a fraction of his potential value if a bid does come in.

I urge the club to keep Stones and urge Stones to stay at Barnsley and continue his development by playing regular first team football.

The talented youngsters that we have at the club are the only positive thing we can look to at the moment.

We really are rock bottom at the moment and I can even see us losing at home to Leeds on Saturday. That is just how low we are at the moment.

The ‘Vultures’ are circling chief and with no new manager in sight, the lads head will no doubt be turned for the lure of bigger and better things (see young Mr Butterfield as a prime example).

If we have to start selling the future of the club, (usually for peanuts) then we are in big trouble!

Agreed. I look at the likes of Butterfield and Hammill though and although their bank balances might be looking good, their careers would have been better with another couple of seasons with the reds.
