Manager Danny Wilson isn’t winning many friends at the minute as can be seen from the frustration expressed by chiefred and Tony on the site earlier today, but when responding to the Fleetwood loss last night, he told the Official Site that we are clearly striving for some consistency but patience had to be our watchword at the moment.

‘I thought we started really well. We were really at it. We put them on the back foot when we got the goal early on. It was a great time. Then we just seemed to get quite nervous and anxious at times.’

Wilson went on to say that the goal came out of ‘nothing’ and he didn’t feel that the set play would come to anything given how the ball came in, but their lad just rattled it in, and again for the second goal, it’s a failure to pick people up – ‘it’s people falling asleep and it’s criminal.’

The biggest disappointment was the fact we had the early lead through Peter Ramage and just threw it all away.

‘I don’t think either keeper’s had many saves to make quite honestly. But we had enough chances, we had a couple of great chances to get ourselves level, which we didn’t take. We saw everybody get anxious, I felt we started being a bit jittery.’

Wilson ended by talking about the fans and saying how he knows all of them want to see their team winning, especially at home, but we don’t have that consistency in the team.

‘The inconsistency’s there to be seen. What they want is consistency and it’s what we want. I have to say it’s never going to be easy to get that consistency. We’ll have to wait and be patient, it’s a watchword that’s a premium at this moment in time.’
