Last night`s defeat to Scunthorpe means that Barnsley are on their worst run in the league since Simon Davey`s tenure.

The Reds succumbed to an injury time winner for the second time in the league this season when ex-Red Paul Hayes wrapped up all three points for Scunthorpe United at Glanford Park.

The result sends Barnsley back into the bottom half of the table and 8 points adrift of the Play-Offs but only 7 in front of the relegation zone.

The losing streak is now up to three games, which hasn`t happened previously this season since Mark Robins took charge.

It doesn`t look much better for the Reds either, who face Play-Off placed Cardiff City away on Saturday, which could see Robins equal Davey`s 2009/10 record of four defeats in a row, a run which ultimately cost Davey his job.
