Barnsley manager Simon Davey gave his thoughts following his side’s 2-0 victory over Plymouth Argyle at Oakwell.

Simon told the post-match press conference:

‘It was a hard earned win and Plymouth made it hard for us although I though we eserved it. We could have finished them off ten times today.’

The Reds took the lead as Anderson’s header took a deflection off Jon Macken on its way in.

‘Anderson could have had souble figures this afternoon and the one he tought he got has been given to Jon Macken. I was a little disappointed in the first half as we didn’t pass the ball quickly enough.’

The visitors were reduced to ten men thanks to Simon Walton’s moment of madness but the Reds were comfortable throughout the entire match:

‘We needed the three points and that is what we have done. We changed the system and managed to create a lot more chances. We scored two, but could have had twenty-two. We have to learn to finish teams off.’
