Barnsley have signed young Liverpool right back Ryan McLaughlin on a 28 day loan deal.

This deal means that the rumours of Wiseman moving on to Preston are almost certainly true. I think letting Wiseman go is a mistake and I hope it doesn`t come back to haunt us.

I have no doubt that McLaughlin will be a good player from what I hear. However we only have him for 28 days so who knows what situation we will be in terms of a right back when he goes back.

At least Wilson has signed a right back and that should mean that Cranie moves back to centre half, a position he should never be moved from.

This signing along with a few other rumours that I have heard suggest to me that not many of the current playing staff will be around at the beginning of next season.

Wilson wants almost a complete clear-out and the only thing he is concerned about at the moment is Championship survival. He is willing to strive to achieve this with players on short term deals for the rest of this season and he then hopes to rebuild in the summer.

  • looking at it logically, if we go down, are the current players good enough to get us back up? i dont think so, some are but as a squad,no.therefore what options has Danny got? the squad isnt good enough so changes are needed,do you try all you can to try and stay in this div ? yes, what has he got to lose?it would be nice to get Shotton from Stoke,as he`s just returned from loan.
