Ipswich Town 3 – Barnsley 0

Barnsley manager Simon Davey felt his side deserved something from tonight’s match with Ipswich Town.

Davey told the Club’s official website:

‘We definitley deserved something from that game. We dominated the first half and created lots of chances. It says a lot when Richard Wright has come off as man of the match.

‘It is frustrating but that was never a 3-0 defeat when you look at that game.’

Barnsley’s ‘Mr Reliable’ in Heinz Muller practically gifted the home side two goals, as Stead and Campo pounced on two errors.

Davey continued:

‘Heinz has come in and apologised after the game. I am never going to criticise Heinz because he has been fantastic since I brought him here.’

Barnsley need goals and fast, with the visitors on Saturday being South Yorkshire rivals Docaster Rovers, the Reds, and Simon Davey, are more than desperate for three points.
