Davies in Bolton Talks

Striker Craig Davies could be on the verge of leaving Barnsley as the he has entered in to talks with Bolton Wanderers about permanent deal.

Davies is out of contract in the summer so the reds will be looking to cash in if possible with Davies looking to keep his options open.

I also expect Luke Steele to leave this transfer window. Despite declaring he wanted to stay at Barnsley only a few weeks ago there has been no fresh contract offer for Steele.

Don Rowing has however revealed that Steele was offered a new deal in the summer which he declined so that he could keep his options open.

With the club looking almost certain for the drop both players will want to leave and continue to play Championship football.

The task of staying up looks improbable with those two in the team. It will be possible once they leave.

I fear we have some dark days to come at Barnsley football club unless the board make can pull off a coup with who they bring in as manager.

Palace I have heard Dowie fancies Davies to link up with Murray??

He will be going that’s for sure. At least if there’s a few in for him we might get a half decent price.

The club then has now assets and is a less attractive prospect for potential buyers??

I have heard a rumour we are in for Chris Dagnall? Its know we are after a striker could this be the case??

I think it could be but it won’t be until the new manager is in place and able to get some strikers at the club. I know he was on loan at you lot on loan last year. A decent player who works his socks off but probably not quite good enough at Championship level.

Won’t get anything like what we want for him (the easy goals he got against Birmingham) have dried up since then, so being Barnsley, he’ll probably go for less than 500k..?

We need a run of good news stories, but unfortunately I can’t see where they are going to come from.
