Barnsley fans have dedicated a Twitter feed to midfielder Stephen Dawson after he has become a fans favourite with his tireless midfield displays.
Dawson`s younger brother showed him the tribute on twitter and Dawson said ‘I`ve nothing but respect to the Barnsley fans and the way they`ve accepted me because it hasn`t been easy for them with the recent year of results. I`ll give it my all and I like to think I`ve got a good relationship with them. I just want to get back fit and help the lads in our fight this season.`
Manager David Flitcroft also described Dawson as a ‘leader` and the team`s ‘inspiration` which Dawson was overwhelmed to hear.
