Barnsley striker Iain Hume watched from the bench as the Canadians held Mexico to a 2-2 draw at the Commonwealth Stadium in Edmonton last night.

The Canucks were playing for pride against Sven Goran Eriksson’s Mexico as their previous defeat to Honduras sealed their exit from the CONCAF Group II.

Hume was part of the Canadian’s defeat to Honduras on Saturday, setting up their only goal in a 3-1 defeat.

The 24-year-old will now be on his way home and may be part of Barnsley’s trip to Crystal Palace on Saturday in front of the Sky Cameras.
