Another injury blow for the Reds as Rob Kozluk is ruled out for a month with a fractured cheekbone.

The full back was caught in the eye after jumping for a challenge with Preston’s Davidson in his own box.

The former Sheff Utd defender went to hospital as a precaution and has since learned he could be out for up to a month.

Simon Davey is disappointed to lose such a consistent performer as he told barnsleyfc.co.uk:

“Rob has a harline fracture of his cheekbone and could be out for up to four weeks. It will probably be a little less but it is a blow to us.

“Rob has consistently been in the starting eleven all season and to lose a player like that is hard to take. We will have to fill that void now.”
