Here we rate the reds players following the 1 – 1 draw at Oakwell against Ipswich.

Davies 7
Yiadom 8
Roberts 7
MacDonald 7
Jones 7
Watkins 8
Scowen 6
JAMES 8
Hammill 8
Bradshaw 5
Armstrong 5

Sub
Williams 7

Adam Davies has improved no end over the last few months. He made a final triple save in the first half and dealt with everything comfortably up until the goal where perhaps he should have done better but I`m not blaming him for the goal.

In defence I thought all four lads played well. Jones looks a lot more comfortable at left back and had his best game since the Leeds game. I`d be very surprised if someone didn`t come in for Yiadom in the summer. He looks every bit a top Championship player.

In midfield James was excellent again and deserved the man of the match award in my opinion. Scowen wasn`t his usual self, maybe he`s not fully recovered from his injury. I thought both wingers were excellent and both had one of their better games of the season.

Up front is where we are weak at the moment. Whilst you can`t knock Bradshaw for his effort and also his finishing when he does get a sniff in the box, his general all round game needs to improve massively and he needs to be stronger. The amount of times a slight bit of physical presence puts him to the ground is too many to count. Armstrong doesn`t seem to put in the effort that Bradshaw does or be involved anywhere near as much. However the few times when he is, he looks decent on the ball and potentially dangerous with his pace. Unfortunately he is a passenger for most of it.

Williams when he came on did more than the pair of them in a short space of time. I would consider dropping Bradshaw and Armstrong and playing Watkins up top with Williams just off him.
