Tykes Transfer Rumours – Joe Dudgeon

Barnsley have been linked with a season long loan move for Hull City left back Joe Dudgeon.

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft sees the youngster as the ideal replacement for Scott Golbourne and ideal competition for Kennedy and Noble-Lazarus.

However as I understand it the club are only willing to sanction the loan signing of a proven Championship goal scorer until some of the clubs squad players are moved out on loan.

The transfer window has closed, we’re now in the emergency transfer window, which has a 93 day limit, so you can’t do season long loan.

And Joe’s too good for you, if he goes out on loan, it should be to someone competing at the top of the league.

You have not been charged for this post…

Thanks for that lambrettaman. If he went to a top championship side he may not get in the team. Maybe Hull would send him to Barnsley so he could play every week.

I was only winding you up, he won’t actually be going out on loan at all, he’s our back-up left back and might well have been starting tomorrow if he wasn’t injured.
