Barnsley Boss Rejects Lazy Players

Barnsley boss David Flitcroft has turned away players who were interested in signing for the club because they were unhappy about the training structure at the club.

Flitcroft has instilled a hard but enjoyable training regime for the players and potential new signings who indicated that they weren`t up for the hard graft of training were immediately crossed off the list.

The Barnsley boss admitted that if they weren`t willing to put the work in then it just wouldn`t have worked out, so his pursuit of those players ended there and then.

Flicker will have also learnt from disaster signings such as Mido who have the ability but no effort and desire.

The Barnsley boss again shows his no nonsense approach and is not willing to give in to players who think that they are better than Barnsley football club.

Many managers would fold and give in to players of a certain standing and name but not Flicker. I fully agree with his stance on this and that is why this man gets the best out of every one of his players. It is also why for the first time in years that our better players have re-signed and why the club gone for a new approach with new appointments and are actually aiming to progress.
