Barnsley midfielder Brian Howard is understood to have moved to South Yorkshire neighbours Sheff Utd on-loan.
Tykes manager Simon Davey says that the Club will be making a statement on Monday.
Howard has been off the boil this season and with the return of Brazilian star Anderson de Silva, the 25-year-old was always going to fall out of Simon Davey’s plans.
The Blades have been crying out for a creative midfielder and Southampton-born Howard will fit like a glove into Kevin Blackwell’s side.
