Norwich City have recalled striker Jamie Cureton from his loan spell with the Tykes.

Norwich City, who sacked manager Glenn Roeder earlier on today, triggered the 24 hour recall clause in the loan agreement with Barnsley.

Jamie has made eight appearances for the Reds, bagging two goals against Burnley and Preston.

Cureton will probably line up against the Tykes for City at Carrow Road this weekend.

How fitting, now Barnsley have only three fit strikers. Will salt be rubbed into the wound should Cureton score on Saturday? Post your thoughts below…

You caould always go for loans of Ched Evans and Danny Sturridge from City, Its just what they need a long loan spell with regular first team action.

  • mattyg says:

aye, anyone will do. Isn’t sturridge playing a bit though in the first team?

  • yorkie_tyke says:

yeah sturridge would be ok, he has been playin in the first team and quite well, he set up that peach for robihno not long since but as far as i was aware norwich wanted evans back on loan

  • Buzz Lightyear says:

Not regular, thats what he needs a regular spot for a length of time, The Championship is Ideal and he would benefit being with barnsley. Celtic also want Evans both would be good for your team

  • yorkie_tyke says:

Bring em on then, i’d welcome either!
