Speculation over Hammill’s future looks set to end very soon as last night the winger apparently travelled to Molineux for a medical.
The Daily Mail reported that Hammill, 22, journeyed to the West Midlands ahead of a £500,000 move to Wolverhampton Wanderers where he will sign a £20,000 a week deal.
Ian Holloway’s Blackpool are also believed to have tables a bid for the mercurial midfielder but it looks as though they’ve lost out to one time Barnsley hero Mick McCarthy.
The £500,000 price tag is a snip for the signing of Hammill, who has eight goals to his name so far this season but £20,000 a week seems a large wage for someone untested and unproven at Premier League level.
