Barnsley’s Darren Moore talks about the players’ reaction to Iain Hume’s fractured skull last weekend. The centre-back hopes something positive can come out of the incident.
“Hello everyone, how’s it going? Hope you like the new-look site! Things are going well here at Barnsley but, as you’d expect, things have been a bit subdued this week after what happened to Iain Hume.
“We were all a bit dazed at the start of the week when we realised what a bad condition he was in. We were in the dressing room after the match last weekend and no-one had an inkling. We knew that there had been an elbow in the game but we had no idea that it was so serious. The information filtered through on Sunday on Sky Sports and then we saw how bad it was. We just thank God that he is alive. That is the be-all and end-all.”
