Barnsley suffered some injury setbacks in their pre-season game away at local rivals Doncaster Rovers.

New signings Mido and Silva are both doubts for the opening league fixture at home to Middlesbrough following the 2 – 2 draw at the keepmoat.

Mido looks to have a hamstring problem suffered in the warm up for the game. He could now spend a lengthy spell on the side lines. This is a huge blow for Barnsley and the striker himself as he had been struggling for fitness and in need of these pre-season games.

David Perkins was also forced off with blood gushing from his head. All in all not the ideal preparation one week before the first competitive game against Rochdale.

The match itself finished 2 – 2 with Craig Davies again on the score sheet for the reds.
