Crystal Palace have had a second bid turned down by Barnsley for the currently injured winger Matty Done.

Palace described the bid has substantial but Barnsley boss Keith Hill said that it was way below Barnsley`s valuation of £750,000.

A meeting took place with Keith Hill and the Barnsley board where it was agreed that Done was an integral part of the squad and should not be sold.

However if Palace were to come back with an offer of over £750,000 then business could be done as Barnsley would be getting more than the they believe the player to be worth.

I`m happy to see Barnsley stand their ground. I think this time last year a bid of around £500,000 for any player and Barnsley would have accepted. If we are going to sell players let`s get what they are worth for the first time in a very long time.
