A recent poll on Vital Barnsley has shown that Heinz Muller is the fan`s number one choice to between the sticks.
However the results were only marginally separated with a 10% different:
Who will be Barnsley’s number 1 next season?
Poll date: 21 May 2008
Suggested by: Vital Barnsley
Heinz Muller (55%)
Luke Steele (45%)
Heinz was instrumental in goal for the first half of the season, saving two penalties in the process. But the twenty nine year old sustained a serious knee injury against Colchester back in February.
This resulted in Simon Davey bringing in Luke Steele from West Brom who also went on to impress the masses at Oakwell. Luke was superb in his debut at Liverpool in the FA Cup 5th round, keeping the waves of red at bay.
One thing is for sure, Barnsley now have two quality ‘keepers on their books. Good luck to Heinz Muller for his recovery, Heinz is making very good progress with his rehabilitation in Frankfurt.
