Riordan to join Reds?

Celtic striker Derek Riordan is the latest player to have been linked with a move to Oakwell.

Having been linked with Hearts, Bristol City and Burnley last season, it appears the 25 year old Scottish attacker is eager to leave Celtic Park in order to find regular first team football.

After splashing over £1million on Iain Hume, Simon Davey may have to part with another million to tempt the Scottish Premier League side to sell.

Riordan almost completed a move to the English League with Welsh side Cardiff City back in 2005. The two clubs had agreed a fee of £1million but Riordan eventually rejected the move.

If Simon Davey manages to bag Derek Riordan it would surely complete the Red`s attacking options.

However it is believed if Davey fails to lure Riordan to Oakwell he may have to settle for another Scottish striker in Robert Snodgrass.

because he probably wouldn’t get played as regularly there, they had some quality players sat on the bench last season. He’d walk into your team.

Hands off——We at Ipswich would like to see him replace Jon Walters.
