Steele Disillusioned

Luke Steele has told radio Sheffield that despite holding talks about a new deal he is still waiting to be offered a contract.

Steele says no contract has been offered at all which contradicts what Don Rowing said the other week about him turning down an offer in the summer.

Steele would like Barnsley to offer him a deal so he knows where he stands. He would like to stay at the club but it would all depend on the offer he was to get, the manager situation and what league Barnsley are likely to be in next season.

The Keeper is also frustrated with the managerial farce the club has found itself in. Steele says that all of the players including himself back Flicker for the job.

Any player asked that question would say that and I`m not convinced that any of the players actually want Flicker.

One thing is for sure, the club will come to Steele with a poor contract offer. Steele will reject the offer and be sold for peanuts to another Championship club during this transfer window because that is just how the club operates these days.

The club is fast becoming a laughing stock…decisions need to be made now, either get a new man in very soon, or offer Flick the job, anything rather than hear that yet another manager has turned us down! AND sort these contracts out.. PLAESE!

Yeah, I don’t really want Flicker but it’s better than keep chasing managers who will turn us down. A decision needs making so everyone knows where they stand.
