That Makes A Refreshing Change

Ex-Barnsley full back Rob Kozluk has returned to Sheffield United on a one year deal.

The 32-year-old was one of a clutch of veterans not offered a new contract at Oakwell at the end of last season, but he’s found a new, or as it happens, old club in our neighbours we love to hate.

If they’re not poaching our top goalscorer, they’re poaching our other top goalscorer. So it makes a refreshing change to hear that they’ve signed someone who is in effect a Barnsley reject instead of turning one of our heroes into a villain.

I’m not normally one to criticise a Barnsley player, or an ex-Barnsley player for that matter, except for the odd one that turns his back on the club for 30 pieces of silver (see links in above paragraph), but I cannot imagine Blades fans will be very excited about this signing, especially given that I’ve heard they’re not too fond of goalscorer (that’s about all he does) Bogdanovic either.

They’ve signed a slow full back, who is slower than he was when he left them. He’s got a knack for giving away penalties and scoring own goals and he never put the ball in the net at the right end in 86 appearances. Good luck to them! Actually no, scratch that.
