Burnley manager Owen Coyle has claimed that there is ‘no truth` in Barnsley`s apparent quest to land striker Ade Akinbiyi.
The tykes are in need of a goalscorer to boost their Championship status claim, and it seems that Akinbiyi fits the bill.
However, Coyle told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph:
“There’s no truth in that”
Akinbiyi is the cousin of current Barnsley striker Kayode Odejayi, it seems the two could make a powerful pairing up front. But Coyle continued:
“The players we’ve got left are the ones we want to keep”
The thirty-three year old has bagged twelve goals in sixty-four appearances for the Clarets since rejoining them eighteen months ago from Sheff Utd.

I bet Beevers and Wood are losing sleep at the thought of lining up against odejayi and akinbiyi
i dont think we’ll be playing everton next season – unless we get them in one of our famous cup runs
no and relegation to go with it
nar, you wont get relegated, unless you sell them of course. which i think is inevitable.
Had the odd good season during his career, he’s been transferred for some silly money at times.
