Barnsley’s League 1 season continued with a draw at Oakwell against Sheffield United on Saturday.

Another defeat, which quite possibly ‘might’ have spelt the end of Johnson, looked on for Barnsley going into injury-time on at the weekend with a Basham goal setting up Yorkshire rivals Sheffield United for the win, they needed too, but Hourihane bagged a dramatic injury-time equaliser to rescue a point in a one-one draw!

Sheffield United took an early lead went Basham (16) headed home a Harris cross with that lead taken into half time.

With the hour approaching a foul on Hammill by Collins gave Barnsley a great chance of drawing level from the penalty spot but (the usually so reliable) Hourihane was denied when Sheffield United ‘keeper Long saved his penalty!

That looked that….

Well, until the fifth-minute of injury-time when Hourihane fired home from 20-yards for his sixth of the season to rescue a point and, as I say, possibly keep the Head Coach in a job?

Four-points from the last 11-matches is a poor return but the hope will be this is the catalyst for Barnsley to kick-start the campaign….
