Barnsley’s League 1 season continued with a win against Blackpool at Oakwell on Saturday.
The year ended in great fashion for Barnsley with a four-two win over Blackpool as a first home win since September was secured.
Sam Winnall opened the scoring for Barnsley as he headed the Reds into a third-minute lead only for Mark Cullen to bring Blackpool level within minutes of the second half getting underway.
Winnall added his second two-minutes later to restore the lead with a further two-minutes later Lloyd Isgrove crossed into Marley Watkins to give Barnsley a two-goal cushion with the hour approaching.
Blackpool had hope late on when Andy Little got a goal back but the points were assured when Matt Templeton wrapped up the points even later in the game!
