Barnsley ended a run of four straight defeats with a 1 – 1 draw at Bolton.

The returning Craig Davies drew Barnsley level after Kevin Davies had given Bolton a first half lead.

Barnsley have severely missed Davies in recent weeks and his return from injury coupled with the arrival of Marcus Tudgay will hopefully give Barnsley the spark they need up front to get back to winning ways.

Keith Hill again made changes for this one, five in total with Jim O`Brien returning to the starting eleven after a long spell out injured.

Mido and Etuhu not even making the squad and rightfully so following their displays last week.

Jacob Butterfield made his Bolton debut following his loan move from Norwich but was withdrawn early in the second half as he is still struggling for match fitness after his lengthy lay off.

Barnsley can consider themselves unlucky not leave with all three points. Shortly after Davies had levelled for the visitors, Tudgay saw his effort cleared off the line by Mills.

A much improved performance from Barnsley as the players looked more confident than in recent weeks. Hopefully this point will give the reds the confidence to kick on from here and move clear of that drop zone.
