Collins was again excellent in goal and the decision to drop Walton, which I disagreed with at the time, looks to be vindicated. Again everywhere on the pitch the team did a professional job with every player knowing their responsibilities and sticking to the game plan. Not a bad performance among them. Helik was probably my man of the match and would have got a 9 but for that one error.
Special mentions for Mowatt and in particular his delivery from dead balls which is a danger to every opponent from the majority of deliveries. Woodrow for getting a much needed goal from open play, so folk can’t keep banging on about how many penalties he’s scored, a goal which his overall performances have deserved.
Morris who looks the all round centre forward we have been looking for. Holds the ball up well, has chipped in with a few goals and seems to have almost everything you want for a front man.
The centre backs and wing backs as always and also Halme who did well in midfield when he came on.
